“I think a lot of the problems that I encountered were a result of, you know, instability when I was a kid, I didn’t have….. I didn’t know what I wanted out of life yet, I didn’t know where I was going, I couldn’t, I couldn’t go to school, you know, I had a lot of trouble when I, when I was a kid. What was really important for me, turning stuff around when I was young, was, uh, was finding a direction, and the most important directions that I found was acting. I mean, it was directing my energy into something else, so it was wonderful.

I think that, you know, all a lot of people need is just to be inspired, you know, and that’s what I found, I found inspiration in the, in the arts. It doesn’t matter what it is- it doesn’t matter if it’s acting, doesn’t matter if it’s theater, painting.. or, or academics, or anything. Going to school, whatever it is, you just need to be inspired. You need to, you need to be motivated to, to change your life situation, you know what I’m saying? And that’s, that’s all it took for me, and it just happened to be theater at the time.”
